DM Login: I3lack_Dragon (Shannon) Gaming experience: I've been playin D&D since 'Greyhawk' days, and the blue and red boxed sets. In the 20+ plus years I've played various RPG's, Star Wars, Marvel, Runequest, Elfquest, Boot Hill, Top Secret, etc etc. But D&D always seemed to be my favorite. As the age of computers took over I got into various CRPG's, like the Balders Gate's and Icewind Dale series, found NWN nights much to my liking and now rarely play much else, 'cept for the various chance's to get a pen and paper game going. DM Experience: I've DM'd pen and paper D&D since the introduction of 2nd edition. Think the first game I DM'd for was still first ed. but dragon magazine had ran an issue with a large section of what is to come in 2nd edition and that was our players and DM's guide until the books were actually out in print. From that first Dming session I was hooked and spent the next few years more as a dm than a player. DM Style: Love those big epic quest with lots of plots and twists, that give players a chance to develop character personalities and reputation. Knowledge of the Forgotten Realms: I think it was '89 when I got the gray boxed set, and have played there fluently since. Seeing as how I'm a big fan of Dungeon magazine if there was an adventure in there that wasnt realms and I like it, I seemed to find someway of modifing it enough to make it fit. I also try to find time to read as many as the FR novels that I can, seems they just dont put everything down into the hardback source books. Knowledge of the DM Client: This is an all new frontier for me, so if got lots of learning to do. Knowledge of the Toolset: Like the DM client this is a new frontier as well. |

Staff Positions: Community Manager, Keeper of the Forums DM Logon: DM_PsykotikDr Gaming Experience : More than 22 years of primarily Forgotten Realms D&D, along with Shadowrun, Marvel Super Heros, CHILL and Call of Cthulu, along with about 50 or so more games that we tried once and never made it back to. DM Experience: I'm still learning DM Style: Improv, RP, and random encounters with developing story line. Knowledge of Forgotten Realms: I've read and/or own 90 percent of the material that is out there. I started with the Forgotten Realms boxed set shortly after it was released and haven't stopped yet. Knowledge of DMClient: I'm still learning. Knowledge of Toolset: I enjoy building items and NPCs. Other than that, I'm not much of a builder. |

Staff Positions: Project Manager, Co-Head DM DM Logon: DM_Dragonstar Gaming Experience: I have more than 25 years of PnP gaming, including Dungeons & Dragons, Shadowrun, Star Wars, GURPS, and a couple of others. I have DM’d for my weekly tabletop group for more than 13 years. My tabletop sessions have always been set in the Forgotten Realms, generally in the north from Llork and Loudwater across to Waterdeep and sweeping back to the Anauroch Desert. I have been DMing NWN for about a year and a half. DM Style: I like to set the scene and then let the players run with it. I may have set scenarios, but I am willing to bend and remold depending on what the players are doing. I dearly love to work with players to make their characters be all that they can be. My philosophy is: If the players aren’t having fun, then I’m not having fun, so why are we bothering? Knowledge of Forgotten Realms: 8-9 (it’s tough to know EVERYTHING) Knowledge of DMClient : A very popular NWC DM told me one time that the average DM only used about 10% of the DMClient's capabilities. I'm trying to get over that 10%. I am a firm believer in the extras that the DMFI package adds to a DM's weaponry. Knowledge of Toolset : 7 - 8 |

Staff Positions: Sojourney Founder, Master Builder, and DM DM Logon: DM_Elgyth Gaming Experience: I've been either playing or DMing Dungeons and Dragons since I bought the Monster Manual in 1980. DM Style: I like to have my story outlined with all important NPCs and villains. There are different paths the PCs can take, and there will always be several possible endings. I like epic campaigns that span months and months and will leave the PCs wanting more. I'm going to forge heroes. Knowledge of Forgotten Realms: Ed Greenwood is the only mortal that knows more than me about the Forgotten Realms. Just kidding, I've read nearly every novel, but have purchased all of them. I have just about every sourcebook that was ever in print about the Forgotten Realms. The Dwarven race is my area of expertise and my favorite. Knowledge of DMClient: Good, I've been DMing in NWN for over Two years. Knowledge of Toolset: Master Builder. I'm proficient in all areas of the toolset. My weak link is scripting and must thank the creator of Lilac Soul Script Generator for saving my butt on more than one occasion. I have worked with hakpaks. I have made several new creatures for Sojourney by reskinning. New creatures in Sojourney: Stone Giant, Fog Giant, Eldritch Giant and a new Shield - The Battlehammer Clan Shield. |

Staff Positions: DM Logon: DM Flmngo Gaming Experience: I started PnP Dungeons & Dragons while still in high school and played every weekend for a couple of years into college. Then put it aside for other things. However, I never lost my love for the fantasy genre. Moreover, while I have not played umpteen-million RPG games, I have spent the last 20 years in live theatre. I discovered NWN several years ago and immediately took to it. DM Experience: I DM’d shortly on another PW and have run a few one-shots on Neverwinter Connections. DM Style: My forte is high-quality RP with thoughtful intrigue and a good bash thrown in for variety. I especially like to throw puzzles at players to work all their skills. I am a huge fan of the dicebag and skill points. Emoting that your uber rogue can scale that 50-foot wall is not good enough. Roll for it and let’s see. I also like to stretch the players in a campaign by giving them real moral issues with which to grapple. I prefer a mature campaign with mature themes. However, my campaigns are more linear than some with a set beginning, middle and, unfortunately, end. That is not to say that I do not roll with player-initiated plotlines. I spent too many years in improv theatre not to recognize the value of other’s creative juices. Finally, everything a character says is taken into account. You never know how your character’s most innocent remark will change the game. You have been warned. Knowledge of Forgotten Realms: I read the Icewind Dale Trilogy and Legacy of the Drow. I am also as much of a stickler for place names and history as the next DM. If I don’t know it, I will try to find out as much about it as is available on the web. Then I make up the rest. Having played on Sojourney for the past year, I have a good working knowledge of this particular area. Knowledge of DMClient: I can handle most things and make up the rest. Pause is the DM’s best friend. Haven’t limbo’d a player…yet. Knowledge of Toolset: `I like building NPCs. I have built small areas and some interiors. Love playing around with placeables and creating the “stage”. Item creation is also fun and I usually have at least one special item for each character in a campaign. Anything more complicated than that and I turn it over to the experts. |

Staff Positions: Master scripter, Builder, DM, Mystery to all who know him, and most likely the enigmatic Master of all things Shadowy. DM Logon: DM_MacGuiness Gaming Experience: "I grew up and continue to live in God's Country, where men are men, women are women, and cows and sheep are happy all day. We don't need no stinking television to teach us to be creative. If you can't make a story out of an everyday event, exactly what good are ya?" Dragonstar's Commentary: Who knows what evil lurks in the heart of mortal man (or woman)? Mac is the master of making players (and DMs) paranoid and convinced that he knows all, sees all, and will eventually get you. His scripting has enhanced the Bloodstone Lands enormously. His DM plots are convoluted and complex, yet hideously simple at the same time. His building is charming and down-home. He is the most creative speller I've seen in a long time. Mac is the master of mystery, the Man of a Thousand Faces. |

DM Logon: DM Ollie Gaming Experience: My gaming experience dates back to the old Basic D&D red boxed set and AD&D v1 in the late 70s/early 80s, encompassing other RPGs such as Traveller, Runequest, Paranoia and Warhammer FRP. The group would take it in turns to play and DM. I took a long break from RPGs to concentrate on tabletop wargaming before returning via various CRPGs when they were released. Eventually, I found NWN and made my way to Neverwinter Connections and a variety of Persistant Worlds. DM Experience: I have previously been a Player Administrator, Forum Administrator and have DMed on one other Persistant World as well as assisting with DMing on games run through Neverwinter Connections. My time in the DM Client has been split between ad hoc sessions and scheduled campaigns. DM Style: As a DM, I prefer Roleplay heavy sessions with lots of skill and ability checks and some combat thrown to try and make the game as near PnP as possible. I start out with a general outline and then see which direction the players choose to go, changing things on the fly as the story unfolds, adding in sub plots and twists in response to the various characters' comments and interactions with situations and NPCs. These all help to bring the game to life for all concerned. I like to see how well a party work together, challenge each and every skill and feat that they possess and reward players for thinking outside the box or the limitations of the NWN engine. Knowledge of Forgotten Realms: Poor, but getting better. Knowledge of DMClient: I have been DMing NWN games off and on for the past 2-3 years and know my way around the DM Client and console commands, but am trying to learn something new every day. The DMFI wands are an invaluable tool to DMing any NWN game. (8) Knowledge of Toolset: I am a competent user of the toolset. The areas I build tend to look natural and as 'lived in' as possible rather than sparse and barren. I really need to learn more NWN scripting though. (6) |

Staff Positions: House of Ideas DM Logon: Anton Thraxus Gaming Experience: Since ZORK green text on black screen DM Experience: Since 1986, online and off, big groups, small groups, solo. DM Style: Seat-of-the-pants with general outline ahead of time. Use NPCs for living color and plot hooks, use FX wands for flash and impressions. Use custom items for world flavor and personalizing the game for the PCs. Use sessions, not Persistent 24/7 style, for an ongoing-campaign suited to personally-tailored experiences. Knowledge of Forgotten Realms: high. Not Ed Greenwood though. Knowledge of DMClient: High. Not Carlo though. Knowledge of Toolset: Advanced. Room to learn yet. No scripting of note other than ideas/flowcharts |

DM Logon: DM_Sami Gaming Experience: I started playing D&D with AD&D in the early 80's, picked it up again recently, in the last year or so, DM'ing. I've played several singleplayer CRPG's (Baldur's Gate I&II, KotOR I&II, NWN I&II) until I, fairly recently, started playing multiplayer, which totally spoiled SP CRGP's for me (still haven't finished the NWN2 OC). I played in campaigns the first year or so, been with Sojo-BSL, my first PW, for a bit over a year now. DM Experience: Huh? Oh. I'm a trainee. Desperation makes people do crazy things, like let me DM. DM Style: Under construction. I supsect it will reflect my play style, which is heavy RP and highly responsive to the stimuli around me. I love character interaction and intrigue, so we'll see what comes of it. I imagine will be modeled extensively after DM's I have really enjoyed playing with. Knowledge of Forgotten Realms: I have read a handful or two of FR-based novels and played the Baldur's Gate and NWN games, so I have a decent understanding of the basics. My knowledge of the Bloodstone Lands is mostly based on picking things up since I've played on Sojo. I do research as needed for whatever I am involved in at the moment, but am not great at off-the-cuff information off the top of my head. Knowledge of DMClient: Dazed and confused, but sorting things out. Knowledge of Toolset: I can build armor, weapons, and whatnot. Very basic. |

DM Logon: DM_T-Bone Gaming Experience: Hearken now unto the Legend of the boy named T-Bone. Lo, did the boy's father bringest home the Atari 2600, and there didst it begin. Soon the boy was himself whisked away to the enchanted world of Sir Yellowsquare, and verily did the boy, as Sir Yellowsquare wield the mighty Excalibur, which was indeed composed of a "Less-Than" sign and a hyphen (artist's rendering: <- ). With it, he didst slay the ferocious Yellow, Green and even Red Dragons, though many claim they were indeed only ducks. Thusly by returning the glowing (seizure inducing) chalice to the Yellow Castle didst Sir Yellowsquare complete his first Adventure... and the boy verily did likewise. It's pretty much been downhill ever since. I got into DnD in the mid 80's when I was in 4th grade. Got serious about it in high school and college playing 2nd ed. AD&D - both Greyhawk and FR settings. Really got into the CRPG revolution sparked by Baldur's Gate in the late 90's and have been on NWN since its release. I'm currently really into Champions, which is a comic-book superhero RPG using the HERO system rules. DM Experience: While I've been involved in many long-term PnP campaigns, I've never DM'ed DnD in it's original manifestation. I have run several multi-session NWN campaigns over the last 3 years, and I also currently run a Champions campaign, which I took over after our old GM moved away in January of 06. DM Style: I've had many DM's over the years, and I've really tried to take at least one good habit from each of them to create my own style. I enjoy creating NPCs and role-playing them just as much as I did my own PC's. I also really enjoy developing complex, multi-layered stories like an author would in a fantasy novel. That, as I see it, is where my job ends. It's up to my players to move themselves along and discover all there is to find. I'm not really big on pushing players in a particular direction, but I do control all NPC actions in my games - both "on camera" and "behind the scenes" so that just because the players are spending hours chatting up the local barmaids doesn's mean the Frost Giants are necessarily resting on their laurels. I love giving clues and environmental descriptions as this really adds to the atmosphere of the game and increases immersion for all. Knowledge of Forgotten Realms: 8 - I know some areas much better than others, but given all the resources at my disposal, I'm pretty confident that I can find anything I would need with relative ease. I have several FR sourcebooks, have been a part of many FR campaigns, and have read several of the novels (the Salvatore works in particular) in order to increase my Faerun-Fu. Knowledge of DMClient: 7 - I've used the client many many times and am very comfortable with what I do with it. I would like to learn more of the shortcut commands, as these can be very helpful, but between the DMFI wands and the in-game menus, there's not much I can't do in a game if the situation or the players warrant it. Knowledge of Toolset: 9.5 - I've logged more in-toolset hours than I care to admit, working on 3 PW projects (not counting SOJ: BSL) as well as my own campaign modules - the latest of which is set in the well-known Icewind Dale. |
